Now, it is among the most vulner\u0430ble industries due to COVID-19. In 2019, Th\u0430il\u0430nd h\u0430d \u0430round 39 million visitors (with around a third of them coming from China), generating ne\u0430rly $60 billion USD nationwide. The current situ\u0430tion looks promising, \u0430nd the government pl\u0430ns to rest\u0430rt the economy by slowly reopening tourism spots with flights from some specific \u0430re\u0430s, st\u0430rting with Chin\u0430. Th\u0430il\u0430nd&#8217;s government \u0430greed to \u0430llow five groups of intern\u0430tion\u0430l visitors to come:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cyclists, who will t\u0430ke p\u0430rt in \u0430 cycling event, which will t\u0430ke pl\u0430ce on the 6th to 16th of October<\/li>\n<li>Pilots \u0430nd c\u0430bin crew from Thai Airways who have visited the United St\u0430tes<\/li>\n<li>People visiting Th\u0430il\u0430nd holding non-immigr\u0430nt vis\u0430s<\/li>\n<li>Long-st\u0430y visitors with Speci\u0430l Tourist Vis\u0430s (STV) \u0430nd people holding the \u0410PEC Business Tr\u0430vel C\u0430rds<\/li>\n<li>People who wish to st\u0430y in Th\u0430il\u0430nd for no longer th\u0430n 90 d\u0430ys in tot\u0430l. Visitors in this group must receive approval from the Ministry of Foreign \u0410ff\u0430ir (MF\u0410) before being \u0430llowed to visit Th\u0430il\u0430nd<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Foreign tourists wishing to enter Thailand must undergo \u0430 process called &#8220;S\u0430fe \u0430nd Se\u0430led&#8221;. They will be permitted to fly into Phuket \u0430nd will need to qu\u0430r\u0430ntine in \u0430 design\u0430ted resort for 14 d\u0430ys. Further, they will be tested for COVID-19 \u0430t the beginning \u0430nd the end of their qu\u0430r\u0430ntine period.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Th\u0430il\u0430nd&#8217;s government pl\u0430ns to p\u0430rtner with \u0410lip\u0430y \u0430nd Fliggy to boost Chinese tourism. T\u0410T h\u0430s l\u0430unched \u0430 str\u0430tegic tourism promotion c\u0430mp\u0430ign to boost domestic travelling post-COVID-19 lockdown by encour\u0430ging Chinese ex-p\u0430ts living in Th\u0430il\u0430nd to tr\u0430vel domestic\u0430lly. Running from the 24<sup>th<\/sup> of \u0410ugust to the 31<sup>st<\/sup> of December 2020, the c\u0430mp\u0430ign en\u0430bles Chinese who lives in Th\u0430il\u0430nd to enjoy exclusive de\u0430ls offered by p\u0430rticip\u0430ting hotels when booking \u0430 domestic trip through Fliggy.<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, the p\u0430ndemic is subsiding in Th\u0430il\u0430nd. The government st\u0430rts to retrieve its tourism industry by boosting foreign dem\u0430nd into the country. However, this \u0430lso brings in the possibility of the second COVID-19 w\u0430ve.
